How paddling made a difference in my life: It has increased my body strength, and has given me the chance to enjoy the beautiful Kootenay lake.
2018 BC Summer Games goals: Have fun and do my best.
Canoe kayak goals: To increase stamina, and to keep practicing.
Other interests and hobbies: I have a second degree black belt in Tae Kwan Do, and I enjoy being on the lake.
Training program leading up to the BC Summer Games: I have been doing a skill training camp as part of the NKCC, and have been going out on the lake as many times possible.
My coach: My coach is Heather Potkins, she has helped me improve all my skills during the time I have spent with her and she motivates me to meet my goals.
Role model: My big sister Margaret, who has been always been there for me and has personally encouraged me to be active and try new sports and opportunities.
Highest achievement: Achieving my second degree black belt, which has helped me academically and physically.
Would choose this superpower: To heal or help people, because I learned that I am not happy if people around me aren’t.
