Scholarship donors and supporters

Canoe Kayak BC athletes are an enthusiastic group of young people. Their dedication and commitment to the sport they love is both inspiring and genuine. Not only do they excel on the water but in all areas of their lives.

The sport of canoe kayak teaches more than technical skills; it teaches the ability to manage time; listen to instruction; work independently as well as with others; and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Canoe kayak provides our athletes with tools and memories to move through life and CKBC is pleased to help them with our scholarship program.

Introduced in 2008, the Canoe Kayak BC Scholarship Fund awards two $500 scholarships to deserving students who are attending a British Columbian post-secondary institution. These scholarships honor young B.C. students who have:

  • Attained high scholastic achievement
  • Shown outstanding leadership traits and skills in canoe kayak and within their community
  • Demonstrated a personal contribution to improve their community, school, and club.
  • Attained athletic achievements in canoe and/or kayak
  • Continued to demonstrate leadership as members of Canoe Kayak BC

The Canoe Kayak BC Scholarship Fund has no overhead, so your donation goes directly to deserving students and their education costs.
