Re: CKBC Return to Competition Plan (Sprint)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attention All Member Clubs, Coaches & Athletes:
In following up the recent CKBC membership survey, please find included in this memo a copy of the proposed CKBC Return to Competition plan for September 2020. The intent of this plan is to provide the membership further information on what a return to competition might look like. This plan is subject to change.
The general feedback from the membership survey was there is enough interest to justify trying to host Regattas prior to the weather changing this fall. This does not mean we are hosting these Regattas! Registration, availability and access to Officials, Safety People, and Volunteers will all be factors as well as health authority regulations.

Sept 11th 2020 - CKBC Pre-competition Webinar Recording (Video)
Please watch our Pre-competition webinar for more information about what to expect at the September 13th and September 26th/27th 2020 Regattas to be held at Whonnock Lake in Maple Ridge.
1. We don't have a coach at the moment and are not able to pull together the logistics of getting paddlers to regattas in September. We do have one or two paddlers who were asking about racing on their own - are they able to do that or do they need to be part of a club team?
2. Will Whannock Lake park be closed to the general Pubic during CKBC events to facilitate the effectiveness of the regatta covid respnse plan?
