2026 BC Games Announcement
Get Ready for the BC Summer Games 2026!
Location: Kelowna, BC
Dates: July 22-26, 2026
We are excited to announce that the BC Summer Games 2026 will be held in Kelowna from July 22-26, 2026! This is a unique opportunity to engage youth athletes, coaches, and communities across British Columbia in a multi-sport experience focused on development, inclusion, and excellence.
Key Highlights:
- Competition Dates: July 22-26, 2026 in Kelowna
- Eligibility:
- Athletes: Born between 2010-2013
- PaddleAll athletes: Born between 2007-2013
- Athletes may attend a second BC Games only if they previously competed in Learn to Train - Singles and are now competing in Train to Train - Singles
- Disciplines (Medal Events):
- Flatwater Sprint (Sprint & Surf Ski boats)
- Flatwater Long Distance (Surf Ski)
- Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP)
- Flatwater Slalom
- Kayak Polo Tournament
- Zone Reps
- Coaching Requirements:
- Call for Coaches & Job Description
- Head Coaches: ELCC Certified
- Assistant Coaches: ELCC Trained
- All Coaches must complete: SafeSport, NCCP Making Ethical Decisions, and background checks
Timelines & Deadlines:
- Jan 31, 2026 - Zone Rep & Assistant applications due
- Jan 31, 2026 - Zone Coach applications due
- Apr 12, 2026 - Selection criteria submitted by Zone Reps
- June 7, 2026 - Zone team selections finalized
- June 8, 2026 - Final zone team lists submitted to CKBC
- June 15, 2026 - Wildcard allocations announced
